NUTRITION AND EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT PROJECT (NECDP)IDA CREDIT NO 3052-UG.Invitation for BidsIFB/NCB/01KIT BAGS1 . The Government of the Republic of Uganda (GOU) received a credit from the International Development Association (IDA) toward the cost of Nutrition and Early Childhood Development Project (NECDP) and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this Credit to eligible payments under the contract for supply of Kit Bags.2. Ministry of Health (Nutrition and Early Childhood Development Project) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of : 9,000 Kit Bags.3. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedures specified in the World Bank’s guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the guidelines.4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Nutrition and Early Childhood Development Project and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below from 8.30 am-5.00 pm on any official working day starting from 10th April to 12th May, 2002.5. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Uganda Shs. 90,000/= or US $ 50. The method of payment for the documents shall be Cash.6. Bids must be delivered to the address below, at or before 10.00 hrs on 15th May 2002. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of not less than 2% of the Bid amount. Late bids will be rejected.
