International Care and Relief (ICR), a UK-based NGO, with offices in Uganda, seeks applications from suitably qualified Ugandans for the position of Accounts Assistant.Qualification: A highly motivated person and a holder of a Diploma in Accountancy or its equivalent, or a recognised professional qualification either in ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent. The person should have more than three years professional experience in a similar position, preferably in the NGO sector. Good interpersonal skills are essential. The candidate MUST be computer literate and should have full understanding of spreadsheets and a recognised Accounting package.Main Duties & Responsibilities* Administer the ICR Rakai accounts in accordance with the ICR Financial Manual* Promptly process accounting data and maintain accurate accounting records* Prepare and effect payment as per the organisation’s financial procedures/guidelines* Prepare monthly financial reports* Prepare monthly bank reconciliation for all the organisation’s Rakai bank accounts* Maintain and manage the organisation’s Rakai assets register and stock control system* Be able to meet strict reporting deadlines.Duty Station: Rakai OfficeRemuneration: Salary and benefits will be according to one’s qualifications and experience and also in accordance with the established scales of the organisation for local staff.A hand-written application together with copies of all the relevant academic transcripts and a detailed CV, naming 3 referees with their addresses should be addressed to:The Country Director, International Care & Relief, P.
