Deputy Speaker Rebecca Kadaga has urged Busoga leaders to support the establishment of institutions of higher education, saying it is the only way to promote education in the region.

By Robert KanusuDeputy Speaker Rebecca Kadaga has urged Busoga leaders to support the establishment of institutions of higher education, saying it is the only way to promote education in the region.She was speaking at the burial of Emma Mwandha, the Busoga minister of finance and the managing director of Crown Tiles limited in Jinja that took place on Monday at Namunyumya in Bugiri. She said education should be a priority in the region.She said there was an urgent need to support and encourage the development of education for the people with disabilities at all levels and promotion of education for the girl child. “Just like the deceased Emma Mwandha loved education, so should every Musoga love to see the generation empowered intellectually if the region is to develop and currently the emphasis should be put on Busoga University,” Kadaga said. Bishop Mike Kyomya urged residents to build a strong community foundation.Ends
