Museveni Gives Sonko Family Sh1m

Philly Sonko Lutaaya.The money was delivered to the deceased’s family by state minister for security Muruli Mukasa during the burial on Thursday in Kiryowa, Mukono district.“He displayed exceptional qualities of a great and patriotic soldier and served the army diligently. He was an asset to the UPDF and the entire nation,” Museveni said in a statement read by Muruli Mukasa.Sonko, a former commander of the Reserve Force in Soroti, died last week in Mulago Hospital where he had been admitted with malaria.Thousands of officers attended the funeral.Ends
