Lumago Dies

FORMER national boxer Moses Lumago has died.He died of poisoning on Sunday night at Naguru and was buried yesterday at Kawempe. Lumago, a former UPDF Boxing Club member, from the mid eighties to 1992 is remembered for a rare mixture of style and power. “He could hit hard and also entertain,” said a grieved Charles Lubulwa, who was Lumago’s captain in the national team. Lumago hit the international scene in 1989 with a silver in the light flyweight at Mahe, Seychelles.Ends
