LEADING Kenya rugby club, Harlequins, arrive in the country tomorrow for a friendly test with the Uganda national squad at the newly refurbished Kyadondo ground on Saturday.

By Ronnie KintuLEADING Kenya rugby club, Harlequins, arrive in the country tomorrow for a friendly test with the Uganda national squad at the newly refurbished Kyadondo ground on Saturday.The national squad is currently undergoing intensive drills under the guidance of Yayiro Kasasa and Steven Ojambo ahead of an international friendly test with Zimbabwe slated for May 15-20.Harlequins, currently on top form, walloped KCB 20-11 in their last league match and are in second slot on the table, below champions Impala RFC.The side also has six of its players named on the Kenya rugby team to start drills for the Commonwealth Games.Kenya, South Africa and Zimbabwe are the only African rugby countries invited for the Manchester games.“The players have of late shown great improvement in their form and we are looking forward to that test,” said coach Kasasa.So much has transpired in Uganda’s camp and it is true that there is much depth in the team’s playing unit. The side which includes U-23 players; Timothy Mudola, Allan Musoke and Simon Wakabi, is capable of rattling the visitors come Saturday.Meanwhile, Ian Walker the chairman Kyadondo RFC has hailed the Uganda under 23 squad for their performance in the Kabeberi sevens circuit. The purely developmental side lifted the Plate Cup.Ends
