The UPDF have captured one of the top commanders of the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), Musa Kapalaga, in Kibaale district.

By Grace Matsiko and Emmanuel MulondoThe UPDF have captured one of the top commanders of the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), Musa Kapalaga, in Kibaale district.Kapalaga, wearing blue slippers, a cream Kanzu and blue trousers, was paraded before the press by state minister for information Basoga Nsadhu at the President’s office in Nakasero yesterday.Kapalaga, who was guarded by the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence, said he was a political commissar. He said he hails from Nyanama in Bunamwaya on Entebbe Road. Kapalaga said he separated from the main group in the Congo because fellow commanders wanted to kill him.Basoga said reports of the ADF raid in Kibaale were exaggerated. He said the attack was conducted by four rebels, two of them were killed, one captured and another was on the run. Meanwhile, Amlan Tumusiime reports that gunfire rocked Nyamiramira parish in Kagadi on Wednesday as the UPDF pursued ADF rebels who were robbing merchandise.Kibaale RDC Patrick Baliddawa and Police chief Morris Leku said two rebels were killed.Ends
