THE lawyer in the March 1999 Bwindi tourist attack case is yet to serve summons to President Yoweri Museveni to testify at the High Court.Solomon Muyita writes that Modest Banange Kanyunyuzi of Kanyunyuzi & Co. Advocates, who represents a truck driver who sued the state for damages and compensation of his vehicle, had been given a go ahead by court on May 8 to call Museveni to testify on June 5.The lawyer was absent in court yesterday and Justice John Bosco Katutsi presiding over the matter, adjourned the case to July 5, pending the summoning of the President.Kanyunyuzi, however, told The New Vision yesterday on phone that he was still finding ways of taking the summons to the State House. “I could not do it then because even the President was out of the country and he has just come back.”Suza Manyindo, is the owner of vehicle UAA 173D, which was burnt when eight tourists were by suspected Interahamwe Rebels during the attack at Bwindi National Park.Ends
