VETERAN Ugandan-born Canadian boxing coach, Esmail Mansoor, has offered to impact his experience in the Bombers preparing for the Commonwealth Games.

By Samson Opus VETERAN Ugandan-born Canadian boxing coach, Esmail Mansoor, has offered to impact his experience in the Bombers preparing for the Commonwealth Games.The veteran coach, who has handled world-class boxers like Lennox Lewis, is to team up with national coach Dick Katende.Mansoor, one time assistant to retired coach Grace Seruwagi, toured Lugogo camp on Monday.He was, however, dismayed that the boxers are not yet in residence because of lack of financial support. “Just look at this,” he sneered at the dusty gymnasium. “But it is never too late. There is a lot of potential here.”Mansoor pledged to solicit funds for the eight-man Bombers’ camp.“It is nice to be with Katende. We are going to draw a good programme,” pledged the Canadian.The team: Mohammed Kayongo (captain), Zebra Senyange, Joseph Lubega and Denis Mwanje. Others are Nicholas Magala, Philip Adyak, Hamza Sempeewo, and David Kitooke.Ends
