It aims at designing a national important bird areas conservation strategy in Uganda. The Nature Uganda chairman, Prof. Panta Kasoma, said the strategy would guide a partnership of the Government and non-governmental organisations to conserve habitats and improve livelihood.He said studies in the last four years showed 30 habitats were critical to the conservation of nature.Makerere Institute of Environment and Natural Resources and Nature Uganda undertook the studies.Ends
