Work Hard, Ssekkadde Advises Bussi Islanders

THE Bishop of Namirembe Diocese, Bagaladde Ssekkadde, has urged residents of Bussi islands on Lake Victoria, Mpigi district, to engage in income generating projects to promote and effectively sustain their homesteads.

By Martin KiizaTHE Bishop of Namirembe Diocese, Bagaladde Ssekkadde, has urged residents of Bussi islands on Lake Victoria, Mpigi district, to engage in income generating projects to promote and effectively sustain their homesteads.He said coffee growing in Bussi had collapsed and fishing was no longer lucrative and thus urged them to get new avenues for income.Ssekkande was recently launching the Bussi Piggery Project at Bussi islands where 35 exotic piglets were handed over to 14 needy families. The project aims at promoting self-sustainability of the families.Ssekkadde castigated husbands who probit their wives from joining income generating projects, saying this deters development. Ends
