By Titus Kakembo A journalist working for Etop, an Ateso newspaper, was admitted to Mulago hospital following a motorbike accident.Ronald Ikara is said to have hit a pig on his way to Kyere in Soroti district recently.“The crash helmet was smashed to bits otherwise my skull would be gone. The pain is intense. The doctors say I broke the humerus and the bone popped out of the socket. All I have had are pain killers,” lamented Ikara who was writhing in agony in ward 6C room 26.Ikara was transferred to Kampala from Soroti Hospital because of complications caused by the injury, which required radiographs that could only be done at Mulago. The medical form says he broke his neck and humerus and requires an axial view. John Olegya, an Etop employee who was on the motorbike, says the pig scurried out of a thicket when the bike was at more than 120km per hour. Ends
