KAMPALA Citizens A successfully defended their National Schools boxing Championship title after a thorough domination of the finals yesterday at Lugogo.Mark Namanya reports that Citizens finished the tournament with a massive 75 points, 20 ahead of second placed Kasubi. It was a fitting end to the event with the finals producing entertaining boxing before a big crowd. However, the anticipated light heavyweight and heavyweight clashes between S. Lukwago (Wagadugu) v A. Kasozi (Citizens A) and M. Apouna (Citizens A) v B. Rwabasha (Johnii) turned out a one sided affair. The Citizens pugilists had to be saved from punishment by referee, Shamila Mudemuke. The quickest win came from the 75 kg category where Masaka’s E. Gonzaga destroyed Ndeeba’s R. Okello in less than a minute. EndsOther resultsKampala High 36Johnii 25Nakulabye 18Kampala Campus 21Citizens B 15Rosa 12Wagadugu 12
