Recycle ‘buveera’

SIR— Buveera (plastic bags) seem to be a growing eyesore and source of inorganic waste in Kampala, if not Uganda. Can’t these not be recycled (collected, melted down and re-used to make new buveera and plastic bottles). In Europe recycling of rubbish is commonplace and even appears to be a profitable business.
