All is set for the royal wedding of Omukama Solomon Gafabusa Iguru I with Margaret Karunga Adyeri on August 24, where over 4,000 VIPs have been invited.

By Josephine Maseruka All is set for the royal wedding of Omukama Solomon Gafabusa Iguru I with Margaret Karunga Adyeri on August 24, where over 4,000 VIPs have been invited.The royal wedding will, however, be preceded by okuhingira on Friday August 17.The Katikiro of Bunyoro Kitara kingdom, Erisa Kagoro Byenkya, yesterday said two important functions would be held on the same day.They include the royal wedding and the eighth coronation anniversary of the Omukama which falls on June 11, but was pushed ahead to be jointly marked with the wedding.The day’s events will begin with a church service at 9:00am at St. Peter’s Cathedral Hoima about 124 miles from Kampala.Byenkya, who was accompanied to The New Vision offices, Industrial area by Prince John Majugo, the kingdom advisor, explained that retired Bishop Yokana Mukasa would lead the service.He said Mukasa would be assisted by the newly installed Bishop of Bunyoro Kitara Diocese, Nathan Kyamanywa and other church leaders.Byenkya said all cultural leaders, religious, political, local leaders and ambassadors had been invited.The reception will be held at the karuzika in Hoima after the church service.Ends
