By Ronnie Kintu THE Kampala Rugby Football Union Club (KRFUC) needs over sh30m to upgrade its facilities for a continental encounter with Cameroon on September 7.Richard Ssewakiryanga, the union chairman, has said preparations are in high gear. He said the club has put aside funds and is looking for more from sponsors to ensure the ground is set for the big Confederation of African Rugby (CAR) second tier match.“We are trying our level best to standardise the premises and hope to be set by the end of the month,” said Ssewakiryanga.He said that Kampala rugby ground will be expanded to accommodate a warm-up area for the players, improved pavilion and another small bar.Kampala rugby club, the oldest on the local scene, was until 1999 a home to nearly all Kampala based rugby teams in Uganda.Meanwhile national coach Yayiro Kasasa has reduced the Ugandan team from 33 to 20 after last week’s trials and stepped up training.Ends
