CONSERVATIVE Bakonzo and Basongora in Kasese district have been assured that counting them or their livestock will not kill them, reports John Thawite.
District census officer Asa Kule Musinguzi said this while updating journalists on preparations for the census.
Some Bakonzo believe that counting a family or their cattle can cause the death of a family member or the cattle.
Musinguzi was flanked by his assistant, Eliab Tushabomwe and a Uganda National Bureau of Statistics official attached to Kasese, Kaudha Aliziki. End
