PADER LC5 chairman Edwin Yakobo Komakech has appealed to the Lords Resistance Army (LRA) rebels of Joseph Kony to participate in the census exercise.
Komakech (pictured left) said the rebels were Ugandans and should therefore take part in the census.
He said when the rebels come out of the bush, they will need basic necessities such as health, water, roads and the funds will be based on the census result.
He called upon the LRA rebels to cooperate with the enumerators during the exercise.
Komakech said this while addressing sub-county LC3 chairpersons at the district headquarters recently.
He urged local leaders to sensitise the population on the importance of the census exercise.
He said the Government would send money for development in the district basing on the population of the district determined by census.
The district census team attend the function. End
