SIR— I appeal to the Government to move quickly and avert a looming crisis in Bundibugyo district.

SIR— I appeal to the Government to move quickly and avert a looming crisis in Bundibugyo district.
The counties of Rwebisengo and Karugutu have almost become disaster areas. Congolese refugees are streaming in running from the bitter ethnic war between the Lendu and the Hema.
Bundibugyo district has never recovered fully from the ADF. There are remnants of rebels roaming along the border areas. The people have up to now refused to vacate the protected camps, citing these rebels roaming the border areas. Now there are conflicting reports that the remnants of the interahamwe, the ADF, the Lendu militia and the People’s Redemption Army of Kyakabale are regrouping in the Ituri region preparing simultaneous massive attacks on selected border towns, Bundibugyo inclusive.
Let the government get interested in the situation along the Uganda/DRC border.
