AFTER their successful run of the Bell Lager Super six league that ended last week, the MTN Heathens are targeting victories in the forthcoming Makerere 10’s and Uganda Cup tournaments slated for early next month.
Heathens finished top of the super six table with a convincing 41 points above six year champions Underwriters Kobs (35) and Black Pirates (24).
Skipper for the side, Tolbert Onyango believes it is not yet done until they scoop the Makerere 10’s trophy from defending champions Kobs and then defend the Bell Uganda Cup.
“Our target is to scoop all the local trophies this season and we are on the right track after lifting the Super Six league trophy,” an excited Tolbert Onyango told The New Vision.
The side that has been in limbo for the last six years of the Bell Lager league relied on teamwork for the best results in the local tournament.
Heathens’ best win was a 68-00 victory against Hima Impis and a 44-5 triumph over Rhinos.
