Mbarara High School has been relocated after the Agha Khan repossessed its premises.
Mbarara principal education officer Charles Turyahikayo said the Government had acquired land for the school at Kakoba near Nyamityobora Primary School.
Turyahikayo was addressing teachers and parents of the school at Kakyeka Stadium in Mbarara on Saturday.
“The school will shift any time. The Ministry of Education and Sports has promised us funds to construct classrooms at the new site,” he said.
He said the school which had occupied the Aga Khan premises since 1993, would not change its name. He said government efforts to buy the premises from the owners had failed. Ends
