ACHOLI religious and cultural leaders have urged Joseph Kony, the leader of the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA), to talk peace with the Government and stop the orgy of killing.

The religious leaders condemned the massacres on Sunday at a peace march and prayers at Pece-Acoyo, three miles on the Gulu-Moroto road, the scene of the recent massacre of 14 civilians.

The peace walk was led by Gulu Archbishop John Baptist Odama, who is also the chairman of Acholi Religious Leaders Peace Initiative, Northern Uganda Diocese bishop Nelson Onono-Onweng, retired Bishop of Kitgum Diocese Mackleord Baker Ochola, Gulu district khadi Sheik Musa Khalil and Payira paramount chief David Onen Acana.
