RELEGATED football club SCOUL has pulled out of the Kakungulu Cup.
SCOUL secretary Herbert Mugaga yesterday said that the club was undergoing reorganisation.
“We are restructuring a club with a better vision and taking part in any tournament will be jeopardising our arrangement,” said Mugaga.
SCOUL’s withdrawal means that Masaka LC, the team they were to face today, qualifies for the quarterfinal and will meet the winner between Simba and SC Villa.
In the Nile Special Super League action, Simba will be gunning for one of the top eight cash prizes on offer in the league. Villa are already champions.
Simba players will be aware of this when they host relegated Maji in today’s action at Nakivubo.
Currently in seventh position with 37 points from 26 matches, Simba play their first game in a month seeking the fifth place.
“Maji have nothing to lose and this means that they will be all out for us,” said Simba coach Mike Mutebi.
