Forget all about the Ferrari F-399 - you couldn’t even drive it on the streets of Kampala!

The car to drive is the E-Class which has enough power in it to propel you from 0-100km in 10.1 seconds. Not only does it have a solar sliding sun roof which ventilates and cools the interior when the engine is switched off, it comes complete with navigation system, 4-zone thermotronic climate control while the seats are built in with ventilation and heating. Apparently there is only one E-Class in town which was snapped up as soon as it came into town. Apparently, the car costs any where between $70,000 to $100,000-plus.
Meanwhile, at the MTN Car Show at Sheraton Hotel, there was drama when one of the exhibitors, Liberty Insurance, hauled in a written off Toyota Corona as part of their exhibit. Other exhibitors went running to the organisers demanding the wreck be removed. Some car companies more than whimpered when the organisers stood firm and refused to throw out the Corona: "They all cried that the Corona would be an eye sore on the well polished cars" said a lady with links to Liberty Insurance Company
