MR Clement Kandole, Kamuli Resident District Commissioner (RDC) has warned male teachers against awarding high marks to girls in order to lure them into sex.
He said teachers were using high marks as a tool to buy love from school girls who end up conceiving and dropping out of school.
Kandole warned that any teacher caught would be dealt with seriously. He said teachers who engaged in such acts were destroying the image of the teaching profession.
Kandole made the remarks while opening a one-day sensitisation workshop for primary and head teachers held at Kamuli Boys primary school last Saturday.
He urged teachers to treat female pupils as their own children and to be disciplined in the work place. He encouraged pupils to report anybody that assaults them.
