STANDARD High lost to Mukono Lions but still qualified for the quarterfinal stages of the region’s mini league yesterday
This is after their earlier wins against KK Boys, Kamira and Kitoro.
The regional quarterfinals are expected to start on Saturday.
Buikwe, Mukono Lions, Kayunga and CAWODISA are the other teams that had also qualified though the preliminaries were still going on. Eight teams will make it to the knockout stages.

Nsambya’s making a come back to the Super League was boosted by their qualifying for the quarterfinal. Wandegeya had also qualified by press time yesterday.

Game Boys continued with their fine run, qualifying for the semi-final of the regional tournament set for Mbale Municipal stadium today.
Busia also booked a semifinal berth and now have a task of stopping Sironko. This is after they pipped Kalilo yesterday. Sironko beat Namisindwa enroute the last four.
