THE MP for Agago county, Kitgum district, Prof. Ogenga Latigo, has asked the Government to recruit about 200 local defence unit personnel in each sub-county to defend the Acholis from the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) rebels, reports Alex Ocen.
Latigo was briefing a press conference at the International Rescue Committee office in Lira recently.
He said his request came as a result of the recent massacre of the innocent civilians.
“Two of the victims were chopped into pieces and cooked like chickens,” Latigo said with sorrow. Ends
