Police hold
JINJA – A petrol station manager in Pallisa, who has been in hiding for embezzling over sh19m has been arrested. Majid Mulopa, of Walukuba was arrested on Sunday. The O/C CID, Hillary Odoch said Mulopa would be transfered to Pallisa for prosecution.

Man killed
SOROTI – The Police have arrested a man for allegedly strangling another over a woman. Charles Oudo waylaid Moses Orono who was from a bar with his wife Josephine Amido.Oudo reportedly twisted Orono’s neck and broke his spinal cord. The incident happened in Soroti town last Tuesday.

More funds
JINJA – The hereditary ruler of Bugweri county, prince Fred Kakaire Mehna has urged the Govenment and Basoga to raise funds for the reconstruction of a mass grave at Busesa where the remains of over 80 petrol inferno victims were buried. He made the appeal while speaking to The New Vision recently.
