APAC – The development of the Aduku piped water supply scheme has begun with the construction of two wells in Otongole village. The wells are being drilled by Nile Drilling Company (U) Ltd., Robert Kilama of Directorate of Water Development said recently. He said about 3,000 residents would benefit.

MOROTO – Two Karimojong warriors have been arrested in connection with the robbery of Kenya sh70,000 from a Tanzania-based UN security officer.

Lochuge Lokiru, and Loyiep Nangoro of Nadunget sub-county, Matheniko county, were arrested in Moroto town where they had gone to exchange the money robbed from Max Dowan Lokabenyan.

Lokabenyan was returning home when three armed warriors stopped him at Komaret, a notorious ambush spot on the Moroto-Nakapiripirit Road. Engineer Clinton Rawlington who works for MTN lost sh5m and a satellite telephone.
