Act on the log in your eye first!

SIR— I wish to respond to the statement by Mrs Miria Matembe, the state minister for ethics and integrity, to Movement Director for Information, Ofwono-Opondo, that he should provide “concrete evidence” of bribery allegations against some MPs.
Before Mrs Matembe challenges Opondo, let her also give concrete evidence and disclose the names of MPs who are in sexual liaisons in Parliament, which she told the public a month ago. First remove the log in your own eye before removing the speck in another person’s eye!
In my understanding, Opondo has not said MPs took a bribe from anyone, but that he had received complaints from the public to that effect. Some complaints are written or intimated. Few people can dare accuse big bosses openly for fear of persecution. Secondly, at least Opondo gave Nsaba Buturo’s committee one written complaint from some businessmen against Capt David Guma, MP for Ibanda North.
Thirdly, Mukwano has pinned down Nandala Mafabi and stated that he gave cartons of soap and oil.
