CID to release crime report
KAMPALA — The cID will soon release the annual crime report for 2001. The deputy director of CID, Okoth Ochola, said the crime data input officers were putting final digits on the report. The report analyses the number and state of crimes committed in the country in the previous year.

2 committed for murder
MPIGI— Two people were yesterday committed to the High Court to face murder charges. Grade Two Magistrate Charles Yeteise committed Jane Nabunya, 20, a housewife and Robert Ssempiira, 28, of Nabbingo over the death of Sylvia Nalukwago. Prosecution alleged that the two committed the offence on August 3, 2001 at Nabbingo in Wakiso district.

Food dealers cautioned
KAMPALA — The Minister of Tourism, Trade and Industry, Edward Rugumayo, has advised food processors to adhere to the prevailing food safety standards. He said there was need to be more organised at the sectoral level so that constraints faced by food processors are articulated. Rugumayo said this during the launch of nature millet bread at Garden City on Saturday.
