POOR organisation marred the start of the CAF intermediary coaching course at Lugogo yesterday.

Participant who turned up at 9.00am had to wait for more than two hours before they were briefed of what was going to take place. Over 25 participants are expected to benefit from the course.

To make matters worse, the kit that instructor Mengesha Teka was expected to use was reportedly held up in Entebbe because FUFA had no funds to clear it.

FUFA could also not provide a projector, neither had they made efforts to access one from Gunter Zittel. They later managed to get it from the German football technical director.

However, the course took off later though FUFA general secretary Haruna Mawanda, who was expected to officiate at the opening ceremony was absent. He had been at Lugogo hours back trying to rectify some mistakes.

Flanked by course coordinator Polly Ouma, Teka requested for all the coaches to be disciplined if they are to benefit from the course.

“Discipline and punctuality are the key factors. We will have a test after every session and the final result will be sent to CAF with in for weeks from the course end,” said the Ethiopian CAF coaches expert.

The course is expected to give the basics of how coaches can turn and exploit raw material players to become superstars.
