A FUNDRAISING initiative has started in Kampala to rehabilitate structures and improve academic standards at one of the country’s oldest secondary schools, St. Peter’s College Tororo, writes Jude Etyang.

A “Save the Palm Tree Initiative” led by old boy, Wilbrod Owor, held it’s first reunion at Fairway Hotel on Saturday. The palm tree is the schools’ emblem.

The old boy’s association, which has been dormant, will be revived as a first step to a major fundraising drive locally and in the diaspora.

The association is chaired by Prof. Andrew Otim of Makerere University.
