A Woman in Luweero district who gave birth to triplets has had a short-lived happiness because her husband has no money to guarantee good feeding for the children.
George Okori, a guard at Mulama Secondary School in Kapeeka sub-county, has appealed to the Government, NGOs and well-wishers to come to the rescue of the three boys who are showing signs of poor health.
Each of the babies weighs one kilogram.
“I already have three children and now these three. I don’t have the capacity to feed them. I wish the Government or well wishers could help me,” Okori said.
His wife, Madalena Atiang, delivered the triplets on December 1, at Mulago hospital.
In August, a woman from Luweero gave birth to quadruplets but one of them died shortly.
After the birth of the quadruplets, Luweero LC5 chairman Hajji Abdul Nadduli, offered to assist every resident who had a multiple birth.
Okori told The New Vision at Kasiribiti village that he had not got any assistance from Nadduli or the district administration.
Okori, however, said an NGO in Jinja had offered to look after the triplets and their mother. Ends
