Rotary donates medical supplies to Ebola Task Force

Rotary International has donated to Uganda supplies worth $600,000 (sh1.1bn) for Ebola control.

By Charles Wendo Rotary International has donated to Uganda supplies worth $600,000 (sh1.1bn) for Ebola control. The consignment in two containers includes medical supplies as well as crutches and wheel chairs for the rehabilitation of Ebola survivors. The Rotary Governor of District 9200, Mr. Vijay Talwar, on Tuesday handed over the supplies to the director for curative and community health, Dr. Sam Zaramba, at the Ministry of Health headquarters in Wandegeya. The Buganda health minister and Rotarian in charge of emergencies, Robert Sebunya, was present. So far 173 people have died of Ebola in Gulu, Masindi and Mbarara districts. Ends.
