By Davis Weddi GUNMEN yesterday morning shot dead Dr. Ezra Suruma's residential Police guard in Bbunga, a Kampala suburb. Suruma is the Director of Economic Affairs at the NRM Secretariat. The OC CID Katwe Division, Mr. Aboda, identified the dead Police officer as Milton Ahimbisibwe of the Bbunga Mobile Police Patrol Unit. The gunmen took his AK47 rifle. Suruma told The New Vision on telephone yesterday that three men clad in LDU-uniform attacked his home at 12.45 a.m. "They shot dead my boy as I watched," Suruma said. "This is the third time they attack this place. This time they killed someone," Aboda said. Suruma said that shortly before Ahimbisibwe was killed, the attackers had arrested an LC official of the area who the policeman identified among the thugs. Other Police sources said before Ahimbisibwe was shot, the gunmen had engaged another local guard in a bow and arrows scuffle. It was reported that Ahimbisibwe was killed as he came out of Suruma's compound to intervene in the scuffle. By yesterday afternoon, Police detectives were still at the scene of the murder. Ends.
