By Jossy Muhangi Political and civic leaders in the newly created districts of Mayuge and Bugiri have held bilateral discussions on how to share some of the scarce personnel they needed. Mayuge LC5 chairman Mr. Baker Ikoba on Thursday led 11 councillors from six sub-counties in the district and the chief administrative officer to Bugiri to share experiences with their counterparts there. They were received and led in their discussions by Bugiri LC5 chairman mr. Siraje Lyavala. The Mayuge councillors said being a new administration, they might not quickly have the capacity to recruit specialised personnel like planners, staticians, engineers and land valuers. They requested for the identification of areas where resources, especially personnel, could be shared on reasonable terms. They said they had problems in areas including preparing work plans to access local government development funds, drawing work plans and budgeting. Ends
