By Peter Ekarot UGANDA has slipped by a place in the latest FIFA rankings released at the weekend from 102. The slump comes in spite of the Cranes wins at the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup and Castle Cup late last year. The two wins in the relatively small competitions gave Uganda 411 points but it was not enough to lift the ranking.. Uganda is 23rd in African ratings, while neighbours Kenya are placed 104 in the world and 24 in the CAF rankings. World powers Brazil still lead the 203-nation roster, while World and European champions France are second, but by just 20 points. South Africa, rated 19 in the FIFA rankings are number one in Africa. Tunisia are second in Africa and 26 in the world followed by Morocco in both CAF and FIFA ratings. African champions Cameroon are 36 in the world and fourth in Africa. Victory in Uganda's February 2 international friendly against Saudi Arabia in Dammam City could lift the East African nation in next month's rating. Ends.
