By Fredrick Kakeeto In Mombasa SC Villa 3 APR 2 HAKIM Magumba scored twice as SC Villa opened their title campaign with a win in their opening group B match at the Municipal stadium here. The Rwandese Army side did not deserve to lose. They had battled well in the first 27 minutes, producing moments of attacking quality, and keeping Villa firmly at bay for long spells. Villa had been indecisive, scrappy and lacking in cohesion, coach Paul Hasule having shuffled the team following the absence of defender Timoty Batabaire and striker Eugene Sepuuya. On the half-hour Magumba combined well with Alimansi Kadogo to unleash a long shot in the top roof of the net and ensure that the first half ended 1-0. But APR, playing three in attack, poured forward and Hamis Bukamuho levelled terms on 57 minutes. Villa's response was quick, Magumba unleashing a 30-yard effort that put his team ahead. Kadogo seemed to have put the game out of APR's reach with the third on 80 minutes but substitute Ugandan striker Lulenti Kyeyune, just signed from KCC, pulled another back for APR to set up a jittery climax.
