10 Students Win In 'Back To School' Promo

TEN students are the lucky winners of the first weekly New Vision, Picfare and Unilever Uganda Limited "Back to school" promotion, reports Elizabeth Kameo. The winning coupons were drawn yesterday by New Vision Circulation Administrator Margaret Wamweta, Picfare Public Relations Officer Peter Okwera and Picfare Area Manager Paresh Ghodasara. The draw took place at The New Vision circulation office on Nkrumah Road The winners are David Mugume, Ntare School, Mbarara, Ruth Nandawula, Bweyogerere Unique Primary School, Mike Katete, Busega Preparatory School, Eleanor Tunda, Namugongo Girls' School and Festo Owiny, Masaba High School. Others are Angel Wanyama, Bbina Primary School, William Kabalama, Jinja, Joseph Lwanga, ITEK Kyambogo, Brenda Apaderet, Jinja and Zainabu Namulinda. Each winner will receive sh50,000 and school packs from Unilever and Picfare. The pack from Unilever includes toothpaste, soap, Vaseline, blue band and tea, while a pack from Picfare contains pens and pencils, books, paper, geometry sets, rulers and writing pads. Wamweta said the promotion had created a lot of excitement among students. According to Wamweta, the promotion had also added value to the New Vision publications. Okwera wished all the participants in the promotion luck. "We intend to promote students in their studies and give them a better life, that is why they should participate in the promotion," he said. There will be three more weekly draws and a grand draw on February 16 in which five winners will each receive sh200,000. Winners should collect their prizes from the Picfare offices, Nkrumah Road, on February 2 at 10:00am. Ends
