By James Mujuni THE First Lady, Mrs. Janet Museveni, has said Col. Kizza Besigye is not presidential material because he has abandoned his own child who now lives like a destitute. "Besigye has a child who lost a mother recently. Someone who abandons a child cannot lead a nation. How will Besigye listen to you as he always says, when he has failed to listen to his child who now lives like a destitute?" Mrs Museveni asked in Runyankore. She was on Monday meeting women and youth at the Lake View Hotel, Mbarara, to canvass support for President Yoweri Museveni. Mrs. Museveni was accompanied by Miria Matembe, the Mbarara Woman MP, and Mrs. Jovia Saleh, wife to Maj. Gen. Salim Saleh. Matembe, also ethics and integrity minister, said it would be dangerous not to vote for Museveni. She likened refusing to vote for him to a woman killing her child as it comes out of her womb. Matembe said Museveni had liberated women and given them a fair deal under the Land Act. Mrs Museveni said, "Voting for Museveni is not rewarding him. It is the only way we can make our country better and reverse the negative image Uganda held abroad as an unstable country. "The whole world is watching how Ugandans will make their next move on March 6." Ends
