By Egessa Hajusu PRESIDENTIAL candidate Mohammed Mayanja Kibirige has praised his counterpart, Aggrey Awori, for his contributions in Parliament. "Aggrey Awori has contributed to the development of this country. Through his motions moved in Parliament, the country has benefited a lot," Mayanja said while addressing a rally in Busia yesterday. He told his jubilant supporters that if elected he would re-open closed banks, starting with the Cooperative Bank. "This is the bank of the farmers, how dare you close it down?" Mayanja asked. He said if elected he would devise a law to protect bank depositors from losing money and other assets in banks. On taxation, Mayanja said the whole taxation system would be restructured so that people are taxed according to their earnings. He said President Yoweri Museveni and Dr. Kizza Besigye were one. He said both of them stood on the Movement ticket and used yellow colours in their posters. Mayanja urged the voters to reject Museveni and Besigye. Ends
