Rockets grabs title

By Fred Nangoli and Lilian Ikulumet SADOLIN Rockets on Sunday emerged champions of the Weatherhead Open hockey tournament held at Lugogo ground on Sunday. Hassan Sebunya found the target early in the first half to spur his side to victory over the 2000 national league champions. Hosts Weatherhead were runners up in both the ladies and men's categories. Sadolin beat Wanainchi 2-1 while Weatherhead downed Buddo 1-0 in the semi finals. In the girls' event, Weatherhead fell prey to Kololo SS on penalties after the two settled goalless in regular time. Sylvia Mbone (Weatherhead) and Patrick Woacel (Wananchi) emerged top scorers with two goals each. Seven teams - three girls' teams and four boys' clubs - from Kampala took part. Eagle Aviation, Coca-Cola and Family Planning Association of Uganda sponsored the event. The clubs next head for the Budo Open this weekend at King's College-Budo. Ends
