MUHAMMAD Manji of Kampala based Hydery Traders and Forex bureau has sunk sh1.5m in the Manji Open badminton championship that starts tomorrow, reports Fred Nangoli. Tournament secretary William Kabindi on Tuesday said the event will be held at Lugogo Indoor Stadium. Kabindi flanked by Uganda Badminton Association (UBA) secretary, Robert Kanalo said top prizes of sh80,000 and sh60,000 would be awarded to the men and ladies' winners. Several other prizes, trophies and certificates will be awarded to outstanding participants in the gala. Kabindi said the tournament committee is fully set for the tournament. "We are fully set, it's going to be a successful tournament," he said. Over 182 players, seven schools and five clubs have confirmed participation in the three day long tournament. Ends
