Kutesa Sues Otika

By Hillary Nsambu SAM Kutesa, the Mawogola county Member of Parliament, has sued Louis Otika, the co-ordinator of presidential candidate Col. Kizza Basigye's task force, for libel. Through Sam Kutesa and Company Advocates, Kutesa filed the suit in the High Court in Kampala on Thursday. He alleged that on February 8, this year, Otika falsely and maliciously wrote a letter to the Electoral Commission (EC) accusing him (Kutesa) of being corrupt. Kutesa alleged that Otika urged the EC to cancel the award of the contract for printing ballot papers for the presidential elections from Lit-hotec of South Africa, saying it had been fronted by President Museveni's campaign agents.
