386 Awori Men Join Museveni

A TOTAL of 386 campaign agents for presidential candidate Aggrey Awori in western Uganda have crossed to Yoweri Museveni's camp.

By Milton Olupot A TOTAL of 386 campaign agents for presidential candidate Aggrey Awori in western Uganda have crossed to Yoweri Museveni's camp. The district task force chairmen for Kisoro, Kabale and Rukungiri, handed over hundreds of appointment letters returned by campaign agents, to state minister for disaster preparedness Jane Frances Kuka recently. The representative of women in Awori's Kabale district task force, said 73 women had crossed over to Museveni's camp. Beth Ntale, an agent for Besigye's camp in Kampala also crossed over to Museveni's side. A total of 145 campaign agents crossed from Kisoro, 116 from Kabale, 125 from Rukungiri 73 women supporters from Kabale. 40 women supporters for Besigye from Kiwatule in Kampala also crossed to Museveni. Kuka, a member of the Women's' Organisation to Return Kaguta (WORK), a group canvassing for votes for Museveni and spearheaded by First lady Mrs. Janet Museveni, welcomed the group at the WORK offices in Kamwokya. Kuka urged the group to go back to the grassroots and help the voters to understand and "see the light." She told them that Museveni was the best choice. Kuka said Museveni deserves the leadership of the country for the next five years to enable him consolidate his achievements. "We should not allow people to take us back to where we came from. We can only avoid this by voting back President Museveni," she said. Kuka was flanked by WORK volunteer Anifa Kawooya. Ends
