By Catherine Kigozi KAMPALA RDC Cranimer Kalinda has said the Government is ready to crash anybody inciting violence in the city. He said his office was ready to handle any form of violence and incitement. Kalinda recently told a KCC meeting that the Government, would not tolerate violence and intimidation from any group. Mayor Ssebaana Kizito was present. He said that the Government was conscious of the security of its people and had therefore set measures of maintaining peace, during the election period. Kalinda said his office would not allow the alleged use of pangas by Col. Kizza Besigye's camp to distort peace in the country. "Government is not going to watch as a few individuals cause chaos and brutalise the innocent," he said. Kalinda urged the pu-blic especially the Museveni supporters to desist from violent acts. He advised them to instead use the vote to put their candidate to power. Kampala district Mus-eveni task force chairman Nyombi Thembo told The New Vision that those opposing Museveni "were acting in ignorance." Ends
