Referees face more tests before league kick-off

UGANDA Football Referees Association (UFRA) training committee has recommended seven commissioners to conduct a national Cooper Test on Saturday at Mandela Stadium.

By Leo Kabunga UGANDA Football Referees Association (UFRA) training committee has recommended seven commissioners to conduct a national Cooper Test on Saturday at Mandela Stadium. Katende Mukiibi, head of the training committee said in a circular to UFRA that the commissioners will hold the C Cooper test on behalf of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) and National Football League Committee (NFLC). The commissioners picked are Yusuf Kinene, Rajab Kisekka, Sulaiman Zziwa, Isaac Mugoya, Aggrey Kibenge and Charles Masembe. The Cooper Test is open to all referees and assistants vying to officiate the Nile Special Super league that kicks off March 17 and Sportsman Kakungulu Cup. Tomorrow's meeting between FUFA and referees has been put off until Saturday at Namboole. "It is unwise to call for two meetings in a week concerning upcountry participants. Let them come once on Saturday and we solve all problems," NFLC vice chairman Livingstone Rajan said.
