Nagginda Appeals For Cultural Promotion

THE Nnabagereka, Sylvia Nagginda, has urged women in Uganda to join hands to promote cultural, moral and social values among the children and the youth.

By Josephine Maseruka THE Nnabagereka, Sylvia Nagginda, has urged women in Uganda to join hands to promote cultural, moral and social values among the children and the youth. She said this in her congratulatory message on the occasion of the International Women's Day. Nagginda who is also the patron and founder of the Nnabagereka Development Trust Fund, pledged to promote the welfare of young people through formal education and to empower women to uplift their socio-economic status. Through the fund, Nagginda promised to facilitate employment creation and eradicate poverty at household level through mobilisation of people to engage in development programmes. "It is our duty as women to enhance strategies for sustainable development in a healthy environment in which natural resources are properly managed and to promote traditional and modern agricultural practices to enhance food security and household incomes." Nagginda said. She thanked Ugandans for the continued enthusiasm to develop the country. She said the spirit of advancement should also be instilled in the future generation. Ends
