SUPER division league teams will on March 15 play a match to raise funds for treatment of leading female soccer fan Rebecca Kazibwe.
A combined outfit of Villa-Express-KCC (VEK) will face a Select XI of the other 12 premier league sides at Nakivubo stadium.
Radio journalist Charles Sebugwawo, heading a committee organising the match, said preparations for the match are in top gear. "Something should be done for Kazibwe, her contribution to soccer especially among women is well known," Sebugwawo said.
Kazibwe, one of the pioneers of women football in Uganda, is ill and needs sh6m for an operation in South Africa.
The Express fan is bed-ridden with her legs swollen. The sh6m would cover the hospital bills and cost of an air ticket to South Africa.
